SHOOT NIGHTS AND SUNRISE SHOOTS

Our Shoot Nights consist of going down range. We don’t shoot from the shooting bays. We practice basic skills like drawing & holstering, one hand shooting, sight alignment & sight picture and proper trigger pull. We also run more advanced drills like moving and shooting,  tactical reloading, low light shooting and expose you to drills that mimic something you may in counter as a CCW holder.

Course is 2 hours long.  You do not need to be a CCW Holder to attend.

What you need to bring:

  • Your firearm (pistols only)
  • Holster that properly fits your firearm. *See FT3 Website for restrictions.
  • *FT3 does not allow certain holsters. (see their website)
  • The appropriate ammunition for your firearm. We recommend at least 200 rounds.
  • Ammunition can also be purchased at the range.

Safety First!

We operate on a safety first program.  Please review and understand these basic NRA Firearm Safety Rules.

  • Trigger Finger Safety
    • Your finger does not touch the trigger until you have made the conscious decision to fire your weapon. During movement drills, practice trigger finger safety while moving and until you have obtained a proper sight picture.
  • Muzzle Discipline
    • Never allow your muzzle to cover something or someone you are not willing to destroy.  In a range setting, the safest place to point your firearms is down range, towards to rubber backstop.
  • Treat every firearm as though it is loaded.
    • If a firearm is in your control, treat it as if it were loaded, regardless of the actual condition.  Obey rules #1 and #2 even if you know the weapon is unloaded.
  • Identify your target and what is beyond your target.
    • At the range, know which target you are shooting at and know what is beyond your target. Make sure there is rubber backstop behind your target before you shoot.  Do not shoot into walls or the ceiling.
    • CCW Holders must identify your target, identify the threat and what is beyond your target. If firing your weapon in a self defense situation, you are responsible for every round that leaves your firearm. Know what is beyond your target before you shoot.

Dress for the occasion!

During Shoot Night, we are down range, doing a lot of movement, both with the lights on and the lights off.  Make sure you are dressing appropriately for range activity.

  • Closed toe shoes
    • Sandals, flip-flops or high-heels shoes are not recommended
    • You are moving across a lot of loose brass. Boots with ankle support is a good idea.
  • Jeans or other long pants.
    • Shorts are not recommended
  • Closed neck shirts
    • Avoid low-cut or v-neck shirts
    • Hot brass down your shirt is not fun!
  • Baseball Caps
    • Keeps flying brass off your face

Range ventilation does not allow for effective A/C or Heat.  Inside the range can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Make sure you are dressing for the weather to stay comfortable.  Long sleeves and/or jackets are recommended during the cold months.
